Kerri Crowley - Instructional & Digital Designer

Hi, there! I’m Kerri, and I’m a Principal Nursing Instructional Designer & Technologist at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). CHOP is a Forbes’ #1 ranked Best Large Employer and Best Employer for Diversity as well as U.S. News and World Report’s #4 ranked Best Children’s Hospital. Serving Nursing and Clinical Care Services (NCCS), I partner with leadership and participate in complex analysis to identify educational gaps and learning needs. I design comprehensive project roadmaps that align with enterprise goals and adult learning best practices. As an end-to-end creator, I get to plan and develop all of my own project assets: videos, animations, VR/AR tools, 3D models, e-learning modules, curriculum, infographics, documents, and more. I am responsible for the overall coordination and implementation of training and communication projects and programs in Nursing Professional Development (NPD). Additionally, I serve as a consultant, suggesting scalable, engaging technical solutions to elevate clinical education iniatiatives. Finally, I use data to drive quality improvement of our learning projects at CHOP.

A South Jersey native, I earned a B.A. in Information Technology, B.A. in Middle Eastern Studies, and minor in Spanish at Rutgers University - New Brunswick, graduating summa cum laude in 3 years. I decided to become a foreign language educator, earning a Master’s of Science in Teaching (MST) with summa cum laude distinction from Rowan University. I spent 11 wonderful years as a High School Spanish Teacher, 3 of which I also served as the Department Chair of World Languages and Social Studies for Woodbury City Public Schools. After being recognized as the Teacher of the Year in 2021, I made a career change and joined the worlds of instructional and digital media design. I am a proud member of the Harvard University Class of 2023, earning a Master’s Degree (ALM) in Digital Media Design as well as two graduate certificates.

When I’m not working, you can find me spending time with my family and friends, writing and recording my own music, cooking, running, practicing hot yoga, reading, or playing volleyball.
